The Gill Absolon Memorial Sculpture: a new and meaningful addition to the Kimbolton Sculpture Festival.

The late Gill Absolon was the mastermind behind the Timona Park Orchard Trust which transformed an unused and unloved part of the park into a haven of free-for-all fruit trees. The project also saw the regeneration of the wetland and bush area as an outdoor education area.

Backing onto the park, her house overlooked the jungle and from 2015 Gill watched the space become a far more positive place.

The project was one that she drove with a staunch passion. She was a fierce advocate for the elderly and the visually impaired and for many years Gill farmed Sussex beef cattle in Bainnesse.

The Gill Absolon Memorial Sculpture will be chosen at the Kimbolton Sculpture Festival 2020 and stand at Timona Park as a lasting tribute.

The chosen sculptor will receive $3000 net. Special criteria apply.
