Celestial Body (POA)

$0.00

Nick Wolfgang

A plough through the field made its way, when a rock caused the tine to delay. With bolts now replaced, the work was soon faced, But the mark of the strike will stay. What traces of a moment remain, etched in the earth, the memory, or within ourselves? What does the mark of an impact look like, both seen and unseen? This sculpture shows the marks which are left as we interact with our environment. For me, the lava stone represents something otherworldly and precious. The rock is grounded and anchored in the surrounding space by a totara wood base.

300mm x 350mm x 200mm
