Takaroa o te whenua

$350.00

Kimbolton Kindergarten

Our sculpture is called Te takaroa o te whenua, which translates to ‘Play of our Land’. The sculpture is an interactive piece, a natural child's playset made of materials from the land and recycled materials from our farms and community. It is a collaboration between 3 senior boys at Kimbolton primary school and the children at Kimbolton Kindy. The boys made the tractor and handmade the animals for the kids to decorate, which were decorated using natural and recycled resources. The background, decorated by the Kindy children, is based on the Ruahine ranges and the Oroua and Manawatu rivers.
